Fostoria introduced the Sylvan pressed glass pattern # 1119 in 1902 and discontinued it in 1906. This clear antique rose bowl is now over 100 years old and is quite collectible, as is much of the EAPG Early American Pattern Glass pressed glassware of that time period. Fostoria also made the York pattern, # 1118, at about the same time which had the same diamond design but came in different shapes.
This beauty was originally made for holding rose petals or homemade potpourri and could also be used as a vase or just part of your home decor. Great gift for the new bride or for that special someone.
This pressed glass rosebowl is about 3 1/2" tall, 4 1/4" in diameter and has a ground bottom. It is in wonderful vintage condition with no chips, cracks or stains and appears to have been seldom used.
